A few weeks ago I noticed a sign posted on the side of the Texas Roadhouse restaurant that was being built here in Logan. The sign announced the opening day as September 21st. Naturally I thought it would be fun to go there on opening night, since September 21st is my birthday! Thanks Mom and Dad for a fun dinner. I've never been to a Texas Roadhouse before, but I've heard their food is pretty good. True. Nobody told me about their entertainment, though. Every half hour all the servers who aren't actually serving someone at that moment line up and do a line dance. Really. I wonder if they had to prove they could dance before they got their jobs. And for birthdays they bring out a saddle mounted on a wooden frame and chant "Saddle Up" until the birthday victim climbs onto the saddle. Then they call for the attention of all the diners in the area and announce the victim's name and age and call for a loud Texas YeeHaw from everyone. At least I got free ice cream out of it.
