I took the afternoon off to spend some time with my brother's family - visiting from Milwaukee area. The plan was to hike the Bloomington Lake trail but we had forgotten how long the actual drive was just to get to the trail so we stopped about half way there - right after we got into Cache National Forest (according to the map at the ranger station where we stopped). We climbed a nifty stile (look it up if you don't know what a stile is, or figure it out from the pictures) and followed a cow path through some very pretty woodland instead.
Here's my mom going over the stile - this is actually on the way back to the car, but I thought I'd better put a stile picture near the beginning after my wise crack earlier.
These are some miscellaneous pics during the "hike", including a picture of a partial deer skeleton we found, and a stump full of mushrooms. The people in the pics are me, my brother, his wife, their kids, and my mom.
After the hike we crossed the road and threw rocks in the stream for a little while.

Wow Debbie, you have such cute-looking nieces and nephews. Way to go on the beautiful hike and especially the mushroom find.
