No I'm not lost in vacation land...

I know, my previous blog post that has been up for more than a month makes it look like I never got back from vacation. In fact, I did. The trip home was uneventful, except that I had anticipated being able to sleep in before we started home. At about 4:30 a.m. (I think - it has been more than a month) my mom came down to wake me up with the message: There's a storm warning, let's go. So we left Uncle Alma's house and came back to Utah. We didn't run into any storms.

My life since then:

1 - I received my dream calling - Young Women Camp Director. I have always wanted to do that. After camp I'll let you know if I still do. Bonus for this year, we're going to the Heber Valley Camp!

2 - I stayed with my cousins for a few days at the beginning of May, and came home on Sunday night to a flood! All the water off the back of the house was running right into my bedroom window well, and from there into my bedroom. Luckily we caught it fairly early and didn't have to pull the carpet up very much. Thanks Traci and Josh and everyone!

Here's a view the next day with the carpet up and the fans going to dry everything out...

3 - My parents bought a new car - Honda CRV - fully loaded. Rear view camera, GPS, tinted windows, line in for mp3 player, 6-disc cd changer, sun roof, heated leather seats, the works! I'm totally jealous. Oh well, at least my car is paid for.

4 - My dad bought a new phone - just like mine, except his is black and mine is red. I contribute his choice to the fact that while I was dealing with my vacation phone drama, he started looking at features and comparing different phones. I feel quite vindicated that he decided to get the same kind I have. I just bought it because it has the best camera I've seen in any phone so far. He called me to find out about using mp3 files as ring tones and after we hung up I took a picture of myself and texted it to him. I'm so proud of him... he figured out how to text me back! (But not with a picture included.)

Glad your room is back to norman. You are probably the only female I have heard to date that is excited about that calling. Go girl! Glad to see your blog up and running--for now...thanks again for your fb help!

I love this! I just barely saw your mom's car today! Talk about sweeeeet! I feel vindicated in that it is another Honda. Mwahahaha!!! I know they were thinking about the Toyota too, which is also a great car, but I love Honda's. :-D

What phone do you have. I'm going to be getting another one next month and I really want to get a good one.

Love ya sis!

Debbie, you are too important of a person to not have more happening in your life that the world needs to know about. Please post more often.
Signed, your conscience.
