Calendar

The family calendars are done!!!! .... well mostly. All the pages are printed and collated, but I still need to punch them, put the spiral thingamajigs in them, and deliver them. Here's a sneak peak of the pages for those faithful followers of my blog. :-)

Most of the pictures are courtesy of your blogs and Facebooks, so thanks to everyone who contributed!

JANUARY
(All about Joy!)

FEBRUARY
(Alma Weavers - thanks Aubrey!)

MARCH
(New babies this year)
You can play the "three of these things belong together" game several ways with this page. I dare you to think of some similarities/differences and comment about them.

APRIL
(Richard Weavers - thanks Bryce!)

MAY
(Paul Weavers - thanks to all you Facebook posters)

JUNE
(Seven Brides...)
This one was John's idea, and my mom conspired with me to collect the pictures I needed without letting anyone in on the secret. She really did need them, she just followed up on collecting them and made sure I had access to them, too.

JULY
(Weaver Family Reunion 2008)
The leafy letters are actual photos of the letters John planted in his front garden for the reunion.

AUGUST
(John Weavers - happy, silly, and sad-sort of)

SEPTEMBER
(Ogilvie Weavers - hee hee)
I hope none of my siblings read this blog before Heather has a chance to tell them she cut her hair... she'll get mad at me for spilling the beans. (And if you do, don't let on that you already knew!)

OCTOBER
(Same Names)
I've always enjoyed the fact that I have a cousin with my same name, and that both my mom and my dad have brothers named Paul and John. In the Weaver family, we've all joked, "Which Mark? (or Marc) Jeanette's Mark or Janette's Marc?" This being the case, I've been contemplating this page all year - starting from when both my brothers named their new babies William. Then Rob and Amy named their baby Russell, and I had to get in the two "Amy and Russell" combinations.

NOVEMBER
(Josh Weavers - isn't Sawyer cute?!)
I almost didn't get the main picture for this one - my computer tried to eat their camera's memory stick. Thanks Uncle John for helping me get it out!

DECEMBER
(David Weavers - thank you for putting up with my nagging you and for sending me your pictures!)

Wow!! How cool is it to get a preview! I have some ideas for the March page--but I wanted to say GOOD JOB before anyone else did...because being the first to comment is so awesome and nerdy!
Love it!!!

The most obvious to me is the connection of the Russell-William names. Sorry Sam--you're out.

Next, I was looking at the male parents--all the letter "R" except for Dennis (you're out).

Then, the "A" female names--Sorry, Julianne. That's two for Sambo.

Spring babies vs. November--sorry Russell. Outa there.

Except Russell wins on the only baby with hair--but that means he is also booted. Sorry Russ.

Stripes on outfit vs. frogs. Bye bye William Thatcher.

Pink background vs. brown. (hello, Russ and Amy--you had a boy. What's with the pink blankie??)He IS the only candidate with noticeable eyelashes.

K--I can't think of any more. I got seven--who can beat that!

You got two on me - I hadn't noticed the R dads and the A moms. Way to go!

(actually Ryan, not Julianne)

one baby was born on an odd day, and one baby was born on an even month, there's two for me.

I knew if I threw down the gauntlet you'd come up with more than I had. Great job!

OK, seriously -- this is an AWESOME calendar!! We had so much fun looking at this preview! You did SUCH a good job. How fun -- esp. the 7 brides for 7 brothers! Ha!

Oh, my similarities with the babies...

1. There is a "R" in 3 of their names.
2. "A" is the first letter of 3 of their mom's names.
3. Three were born on even-numbered days.
4. Three are completely (or almost completely) bald!
5. Three are in stripes.
6. "R" is the first letter of 3 of their dad's names.
7. It looks like - but I'm not sure - that 3 of them have blue eyes. Maybe two of them are just the blue-slate color of a newborn?
8. All of them are SOOOO cute!

Oh, geez, I just read Kristy's comment...I didn't come up with anything new! OK, I lose.

Anyway, I'm so excited to see it in real life! I LOVE the January Joy page, too. Wonderful.

Julianne - you did get the R names for the babies. Nobody mentioned that yet, only the R names for the dads.

How about all but Sam have double L's in their names.

And all but Russell's name ends in "am"

And all but William Russell's name has an "er" in it.

Kinda reaching here, but it's the best I can do.

As for the pink background, *cough* maybe I wanted a girl? No, not really. I actually took the picture on my bed and was proping him up on my big pink body pillow. :-/ I'll use my more manly colored pillows in the future. ;-)

OH! By the way Deb, LOVE the calendar! I can't stop looking at it. *hug* Thank you for all your hard work. It's wonderful!

Deb- VERY good job on the calendar.
I don't have the 3/1 pattern, but all are boys (I'm serious here) and all are connected to the Weaver side of the family through their dads... who are also...uh...boys. Yes I came up with that in 5 seconds of consideration BEFORE reading anybody else's posting.
Good job again and thank you!
Love all you guys!

that looks fabulous---my fave is the name one---though i think that you should have put the "named" people together....
and i'm thinking that the next name we have picked out is not used AT ALL for anyone already (that is NOT an announcement!)
